The first mentions on the Jewish settlement in Zabłudow date back to 1522. In 1646 the first, wooden synagogue was built and renovated in 1765. It was burnt by the nazis during the war. In 1897 Jews constituted 68% of the town citizens (2621)
Jews settled in Zagorz in the middle of the 18th century. In 1785, there were 20 Jewish inhabitants in the town. There is no information on the Jews in Zagorz for the next 100 years. 392 Jews lived in Zagorz in 1921

At the beginning the town’s statute forbidding Jews from settling in Zamosc but in 1588 magnate Jan Zamoyski permitted the Sephardic Jews from Lwow (later on from Turkey, Italy and Holland) to abide
The settlement of Zarki was established by Prince Ladislas II of Opole in 14th century. In 1382 it was granted with town rights. Soon after it became an important part of the trade route connecting Bytom and Lelow. First Jews came into the town relatively early - already in 17th century
