The existence of a settlement named Czechowice was first mentioned in 1430. For ages it was just a small border village and even if Jewish presence was noted already in 17th century, their permanent presence in that period cannot be confirmed.
Czeladz is one of the oldest towns in Silesia. A settlement of the same name is mentioned in the documents of 1228. It received the town rights probably in the middle of 13th century, however the exact date of the location is unknown. Czeladz received the privilege forbidding the Jews to settle in
Jews settled in Czestochowa in the middle of the 18th century. The first synagogue was built in 1765 on Nadrzeczna Street. In 1798 Jews from Czestochowa became independent from the Janow community and they established a cemetery one year later
The first reference to Jews in Czudec is dated from 1499 and it refers to the town mikvah. An organized community had existedin Czudec since the end of the 18th century. In the second half of the 17th century 10 Jewish families lived in the town
Czyżew Osada was never granted the de non tolerandis Judaeis privilege but despite that, the first Jews settled in the town in the 17th century and established an independent community at the beginning of the 18th century
